About Şeyda Kurt

Şeyda Kurt was born in 1992 in Cologne and studied philosophy, Romance languages and literature, and cultural journalism in Cologne, Bordeaux and Berlin. As a freelance journalist and columnist, she writes for various print and online media including Zeit Online. She also worked on the Spotify original podcast “190220 – Ein Jahr nach Hanau”, which won the Grimme Online Award in 2021. That same year, she was named one of the journalists of the year by Medium Magazin. In her book “Radical Tenderness” (2021), she investigates love in the force field of patriarchy, capitalism and racism.
