Where is the EXIT? Games and stories with Inka & Markus Brand and Jens Baumeister

The EXIT games from publisher Kosmos bring the challenge of an escape room into your home: Solve the puzzles to escape from a remote cabin, an enchanted forest or a spooky laboratory. Everyone who has played them has experienced moments of desperation when faced with an apparently unsolvable riddle, or euphoria when they crack the code.
The duo who invented and write this incredibly successful game series, Inka and Markus Brand, join us for this event, marking the first time that game authors have appeared at lit.RUHR to speak and spill the beans. How do they write their puzzles? What comes first – the riddle or the story? Is the team player aspect the reason for the immense success of these games?
Besides the games, which sometimes require the material to be folded, cut or even put in water, there is now also a book series that invites us to rack our brains. Autor Jens Baumeister will read excerpts and the audience can guess – but no need to truly “escape” because the venue doors will remain unlocked.
