Writers-in-residence look back on and forward to the Ruhr region – with Eva von Redecker, Nora Bossong, Ingo Schulze and Daniel Schreiber
with Daniel Schreiber Eva von Redecker Nora Bossong Claudia Dichter Ingo Schulze
For the past eight years, exceptional authors have been invited to the Ruhr area by the Brost Foundation to make the region their temporary home and discover it through writing. Until September, philosopher and journalist Eva von Redecker (“The Freedom to Stay”, “Revolution for Life”) was writer-in-residence in Mülheim an der Ruhr. At this event at Zollverein, she now meets two of her predecessors and her successor: Poet, author and essayist Nora Bossong (“Reichskanzlerplatz”, “Rules of Engagement”) and writer and essayist Ingo Schulze (“The Righteous Murderers”, “Zu Gast im Westen”) have already captured the Ruhr region in words. Author and journalist Daniel Schreiber (“Alone”, “A Time of Loss”) is not (yet) familiar with the area. On stage, they will bring their reflected observations and first impressions, creating a collage of four unique literary perspectives.
